Massage Therapy Schools in Georgia
Georgia State Massage Therapist licensing requirements: The US Department of Labor has reported that between 2006 and 2016, health and related fields will provide three million salary and wage jobs. Massage therapy is a vibrant part of this job increase. Opportunities for massage therapists exist in hospitals, physical therapy, and chiropractic offices, as well as hotels, spas, and medical spas.
The Georgia Board of Massage Therapy accepts passing scores on NCETM, NCETMB, or MBLEx as partial fulfillment of licensure requirements. It also requires 500 hours of course and clinical work at one of the over 30 licensed massage therapy schools.
Choosing a school can be difficult. You must consider the school’s proximity to your home or job, how long the course will take to complete, and financial aid. There is no substitute for your own personal search for a school that meets your specific needs, but here are three good schools and some of their benefits. Why not start your search here?
